Amanda Bain, PharmD, MPH, MBA, FAMCP, director of Pharmacy and Care Management for the OSU Health Plan, was recently named a fellow of AMCP. The AMCP Fellow Program recognizes sustained excellence in the pharmacy profession, exceptional contributions, long-term commitment and active participation in AMCP. The organization represents a diverse membership of pharmacists, physicians, nurses and professionals in life sciences and biopharmaceutical companies aimed at leveraging their specialized expertise in clinical evidence and economics to optimize medication benefit design and population health management and helping patients access cost-effective and safe medications. In her role at the health plan, she is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of medical and pharmacy benefits, information systems and clinical programs aimed at positively impacting the health and well-being of our employees and their families. She is also the director for the accredited PGY-1 managed care pharmacy residency program at Ohio State.
