EAP Series Offers More Discussion and Enhanced Learning Opportunities
Suzanne Vickers, LISW-S; Ohio State University Employee Assistance Program

The Ohio State Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is excited to introduce the EAP Series for 2024. The EAP Series are four-part, skill-based sessions, specifically designed based on EAP expertise. We are offering each series three times during the year which provides for smaller groups with more discussion and enhanced learning. We’ve partnered again with Your Plan for Health (YP4H), and Virgin Pulse points can be earned by attending three out of the four sessions in a series episode.

This April, we begin our EAP Series learning about relationships and trust with Suzanne Vickers, LISW-S: “What’s trust got to do with it?” Relationships are challenging and take work, and Suzanne has quite often heard about struggles with relationships and all the expectations we have in our multiple relationships. Through this study, Suzanne will talk about what to expect from your friends and loved ones and how to build trust and emotional intimacy in all phases of your intimate relationships.

In May, we continue with “Midlife Reframe,” led by Helka Casey, LPCC-S, CEAP.  This thing called midlife keeps coming up with its transitional angst and self-revelations. Register for this series and reframe your perceptions and expectations about midlife. Together, we’ll explore the realities of the midlife experience and how we can best embrace change.

June brings Tyler McGuire, LISW, with “Meeting Yourself – An introduction to the Enneagram.” Tyler is passionate about sharing the insights the Enneagram has brought to him personally and how it has enhanced his clients’ understanding and acceptance of self. Join this series and learn more. The enneagram is a theory of personality and a tool that enhances awareness of ourselves and others. Through greater knowledge of what motivates us, we can better accept ourselves and work towards behavioral change.

Please note, due to the small-group setting and interactive nature of these EAP Series, the workshops will NOT be recorded.

There are more opportunities to join one of the above series this year; check out the YP4H Events Calendar or search for EAP Series in Link to Health.
