We are a few months into the new year and now is the perfect time to “know your numbers.” Why not take advantage of the new year and plan a few proactive steps to achieve a new and healthier you? Getting and staying healthy starts with knowing your body’s biometric numbers. Biometric health screenings that include height, weight, blood pressure, and other values to measure heart health and blood sugar levels are free to all Ohio State University benefits-eligible faculty and staff and enrolled spouses. You can obtain your biometric health numbers by visiting your primary care provider or by attending a complimentary, on-campus screening. In addition, completing the verified biometric health screening and the Personal Health & Well-being Assessment (PHA) also provide OSU Health Plan enrolled participants with monthly premium credits that save money throughout the year. By establishing a baseline to your health, you can start mapping out positive and proactive steps that you can build upon all year long.
One great way to build upon your goals throughout the year is by setting small obtainable goals that you can add to while working towards achieving your larger milestones. Setting small goals will help keep you accountable and gives you the opportunity to celebrate the little successes along the way. The OSU Health Plan and Your Plan for Health (YP4H) are excited to announce our new webinar series titled YP4H/VP Quarterly Updates and Open Forum. Join us at the start of each quarter to spotlight new programs and any changes from the previous quarter. After a short presentation, there will be an open forum for questions related to the incentive program and portal. Members of the YP4H and Virgin Pulse teams will be answering questions in a live format. A transcript of the forum will be distributed after the webinar so you can reference the FAQ's that were covered. To learn more, register for one or all of the upcoming YP4H/VP Quarterly Updates and Open Forum webinars on April 22, 2020, July 22, 2020 and October 20, 2020, all starting at 11:00 a.m.
