There isn’t a one-size-fits-all exercise program. Your exercise program depends on a variety of factors. It can depend on your goals, how much time you have, and what equipment you have access to. It’s important to consider these factors to build a routine that works for you and gets you the results you want.
Here are things to think about when putting together an effective exercise program:
What results are you looking for? This will determine if you need to add more strength training, flexibility, cardio, etc.
Consider your schedule. Time and frequency are important. Hitting your muscle groups with enough repetitions multiple times per week can maximize your results. Scheduling time into your calendar to walk and stretch is also beneficial.
Are you working out at the gym or at home? Knowing what kind of equipment you have access to will help you choose the exercises that will benefit you the most.
