Amanda Bain, PharmD, MPH, MBA, FAMCP, Director of Pharmacy and Care Management at the OSU Health Plan, was recently elected to the 2023-2024 Board of Directors of AMCP as Treasurer. AMCP’s diverse membership of pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and professionals in life sciences and biopharmaceutical companies leverage their specialized expertise in clinical evidence and economics to optimize medication benefit design and population health management and help patients access cost-effective and safe medications and other drug therapies. AMCP members improve the lives of nearly 300 million Americans served by private and public health plans, pharmacy benefit management firms, and emerging care models.
In her new role, Bain will also have a seat on the BBCIC (Board of the Managing Directors for Biologics and Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium). BBCIC is a non-profit research consortium that monitors the safety and effectiveness of biosimilars and novel biologics and provides the assurance needed to determine which medications deliver the best health outcomes.
