Collaborative Culture of Care
Jodie Leister LPCC-S, CEAP

One of the most wonderful parts of being a Buckeye is the community that we have wrapped around us as individuals and as an organization. Many people will agree there are a wealth of resources available for staff, faculty, and students to help them to overcome challenges, set and meet their goals, and develop lasting partnerships that enrich lives. As a member of a small team, within a small division, those connections are all the more important than ever, especially right now.

While the last five months have been disorienting and relentless, I have also found myself inspired and motivated by collaboration. I have been a part of a team within my department and division, as well as amongst hospitals and individuals. One of the partnerships that has stood out over the last few years especially is the EAP’s relationship with Health Coaching.

Year after year, we have worked together as departments to bring new content that is relevant to employees, members, and students while learning to navigate the ever-changing technological landscape. You can see the growth and the alliance in the collaboration at East Hospital and Outpatient Care East for Group Health Coaching series Wellness Wednesdays and an upcoming Group Health Coaching Series on Living well with Type II Diabetes. We believe that wellness and health encompasses the whole person, mind, and body. Reach out to us today, and attend one of the great offerings from EAP and Health Coaching.  Together we are improving our health and wellness through building a collaborative culture of care. Reach out to EAP@osumc.edu to learn more.
