Did you know that FREE fitness classes and events are available to you as a benefits-eligible staff member at Ohio State? The Your Plan For Health events calendarhosts tons of different fitness classes that are available all over campus. The classes available change frequently as we are always trying to offer a variety of different classes and in different locations to be convenient for you!
Currently, Buckeye Wellness has certified instructors in Zumba, STRONG by Zumba, yoga, and LaBlast fitness classes who hold classes throughout the week. We also hold Wellness Walks on Wednesdays at The Ross Heart Hospital and a cardio group, Buckeyes on the Move, on Thursdays at Fred Beekman Park. In the warmer months, Walk with a Health Coach walks are also available. There are several annual events available such as the Walking Path event on the Buckeye Path to Wellness, the Amazing Race, ROTC Bootcamp, The OSU Health Plan 5K Run/Walk.
150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity are recommended (or a combination) are recommended by the Center for Disease Control for substantial health benefits for adults.
