Opioid and Addiction Resources
Lisa M. Borelli LISW-S, Counselor, Ohio State Employee Assistance Program

In the United States, we are currently experiencing a national opioid epidemic.  The good news is that there is treatment for opioid addiction which can include a combination of medications to help with withdrawal symptoms and behavioral counseling approaches.

We at the Ohio State Employee Assistance Program are very concerned about this epidemic and are here to help. More information about the opioid addiction is available on our EAP website.

You can get more information about opioid addiction at Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services.  If you are interested you can also take a self-assessment for opioid addiction here.

If you or someone you know is struggling with opioid use and addiction, now is the right time to call Ohio State EAP at 800-678-6265, 24/7, or email us at EAP@osumc.edu  to get help, including more information and referrals to substance abuse counselors and treatment facilities.
